Great Day!!

And no, it's not about the recent presidential election. All I can say about it right now, is that it'll be an interesting next 4 years.

Moving on though...

The really great news in our day, was that Hunter made the grade into the A/B Honor Roll!!

Regrettably, I have no pics. I was unsure of what this afternoons 4th grade awards assembly was about - not much information other then the date was given out. You would think I would have learned my lesson by now (and after having 3 kids) to keep the digital cam with me at all times. You just never know when you'll need it and moments happen all around and all the time.

Parent/teacher conferences for our 2 grade schoolers are tomorrow morning. I suspect they will go very well. I'm looking forward to them but I'm sure our kids are not. I recall being nervous whenever my mom would talk to any of my teachers (even if it was for something good I did). I'm at the school often enough, and have been for the past several years (even made it to being the PTO President for a year - that was insane!!), that I hope our kids aren't nervous or anxious about tomorrow.

So now parent/teacher conferences will begin tomorrow morning, which kicks off a 4-day weekend. Then they go back to school on Monday, only to have Tuesday off (Veteran's Day). I mean, really - what's the point? The kids minds won't be *on school stuff* on Monday anyway because they know they have the following day off, making for another fast paced, short week.

I plan to make the most of this long weekend and get caught up on some housecleaning duties I'm behind on because of sewing the Halloween costumes. I've done pretty well so far today - I managed to change out the dining table linens to reflect a more fall/winter look.

Also, my Anaheim Ducks won their game today against the Los Angeles Kings in OT. The Ducks seems to be on the uphill now, after an early season slump. They are headed for another great season if they maintain their current pace and tenacity. :)

Friday night I want us to all go out as a family to see High School Musical 3. Maybe even do some bowling afterward. It's suppose to rain this weekend.

Well, I'm beat. It's been a long and busy week. I need to veg for a bit before I slumber. Till later. Keep safe and God Bless!
