08 January 2010

This may be "it".

January 14, 2010 marks our 8th year living on the ROK. We've just begun the new year, 2010, and I feel it's going to be a big one. I think we may find ourselves leaving Korea before May. It's just a feeling, but a strong feeling.

Monday: J has a follow-up phone conversation with the hiring manager for the Ramstein position. This was after several emails (prior to New Year's) back and forth between the hiring manager and J, discussing various details.

Thursday: Three evenings after the phone call, J receives and email asking him to submit some additional information to further the verification process. Things are still moving forward.

Friday: J receives an email from the HM that says so far it's looking good for J getting placed into the Ramstein position. The HM further stated that J may be needed in Germany before May. After we briefly discuss it, J emails his response.

It's now a little later Friday night, we wait for a response from the HM. It may come a bit later tonight or next week. The HM is in the eastern US. I just know we'll get a response. This HM has been the most responsive HM we've ever had. We are several steps further in this potential relocation process from Korea than we've ever been. I've told J that while we will have to continue being patient, it won't happen until it's meant to be. Anything is possible and anything can change at any moment. We've been trying to leave the ROK for the past 2 years. It feels this time, it's just within our grasp. I knew that when the right thing comes along, the relo process will happen quickly. I guess soon we'll see if this is "it".

Much love and God Bless to all! xoxoxo
