Getting back on track...

Good evening all! Things feel like they are slowing down just enough to get back on track, just to then speed back up. You know, it's like slowing down and taking a couple steps back. Then getting back on track and then zoom-zoom!

I've begun my "spring clearance" and boy to I have a long list of things to donate, sell, recycle or junk. I'm trying to stick my mantra this year of living simply while keeping more organized and efficient. I should have a good bit of the house weeded out by week's end. I've already done a lot of work in this house in the past year. It never ends though. *lol* J's birthday is Thursday, so I'm hoping to have this place looking super snazzy by then. :)

It looks likes Germany will be a no-go. However, we are now focused more than ever to finding work in the States. I feel like things are back in motion. We'll keep you all posted!

I've started laying out the plans for Halloween costumes, several quilts, Christmas cards and the girls afghans. I feel badly that I wasn't able to get my Christmas cards out last year. I'm going to start working on them this Spring. I'm determined to get them out this year!!!!! The girls afghans are belated Christmas gifts. The girls know about them and I think have seen the yarn. I think I'll get the afghans started this week. At least get those marked off my "list" and give to the girls to enjoy.
I'm starting a new blog called Affectionate Confections for my cakes and other pastries and resuming the look of my Whimsical Treasures website. This week I will also be choosing a design for my business cards. It'll be more like calling card with my website and some blog info, but I'm so excited in getting the word out on what I can do. I love to make things for others to enjoy and teaching my skills to others that are interested in learning something new or wanting to strengthen their skills. :)

Alright, it's time to clear off my desk for the night, fold and put away the towels, clean the kitchen and get some knitting done. Goodnight!
