A summer to remember!

It's been quite an adventure getting settled into our new home and I have to say that it's going quite well. The kids finished the school year out with great success! That's made me happier than anything because that was one of my biggest concerns. I'm especially looking forward to the new school year, as our youngest will be entering K. I will, for the first time EVER, have time to myself. I'm juggling ideas of what do to but I can assure you that I have plenty of ideas on how to best utilize my time. As exciting as the next chapter of my life is, I'm certain that the first day of school will be a bittersweet one, as I see my youngest compatriot off to her first day of school!


But this summer is a special summer. It's our first summer, first Independence Day in the States, in a decade. Woohoo! We are going to spend the summer getting to know our new home better. I'm beginning to feel a bit more rooted but there is definitely more to see and learn about our newest environment.


We recently had our first visitors in our home. It's been wonderful to see some family. Knowing that we are now so much closer to family and friends is comforting.
