J will be leaving on a plane shortly to head to see his family in VA. I'm glad we were able to find a moderately priced airfare on such short notice. I've yet to need to book an emergency flight, I learned how to pack efficiently in a really short amount of time. Within 2 hours we purchased the airfare, got the kids some lunch, got home to pack, and then got J to the bus that took him to the airport.
I sort of feel badly that I am not with him right now, though I know he understands. I partly feel like the kids and I can better help by keeping things running smoothly here. The kids have plenty going on the next 2-3 weeks to distract them until school starts in about a month or so. I have plenty, and then some, to do at any given time.
In the past week, I have been in this odd sort of nesting mood. I'm no where near pregnant, but I must have had a sense that something was happening. I just had sudden urge to do a major purge of junk from the house and move things around -almost Feng Shui like - all at once. I think it would be nice to have this place completely cleaned and re-done by the time J comes back home.
It's pouring outside on/off. Our front yard seems constantly flooded. Gotta love monsoon season. Well, the kids are playing on the Wii. I'll put this quiet time to good use and finish working on the kitchen/dining area.
